  • The roasted vegetables at Erin and Josh’s wedding reception were amazing! Normally a meat-and-potatoes kind of gal, I’d go vegetarian in a heartbeat if Deco Catering prepared all my meals. http://www.decocatering.com/...

We all know that food is one of the most important aspects when planning a wedding.  Brides & Grooms alike stress over whether or not guests will enjoy their various samplings of gourmet appetizers, delicious seafood and juicy steaks.  Finding the perfect caterer is not easy, but I’m happy to say that I am thrilled with my pick – Blackstone Caterers. They not only gave us one of the best tastings imaginable, they provided the most romantic candlelit atmosphere and served us the most delicious, locally grown organic foods. Pan Seared Bistro Steak, Caramelized Onions, Vegetable Medley...

  • BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT! After about 10 different proposals, 5 tastings, and a lot of agonizing, we’ve decided on a caterer!  This was hands-down the biggest expense of the wedding, but I’m VERY pleased to say we’ve chosen a fabulous caterer based out of Northern VA called Fusions – Check out their website. The company is run by a couple who both used to work for larger catering companies and restaurants in D.C. The husband is the Chef who brings years of professional experience to the table (yum) and the wife runs the business side of things. She used to be a wedding consultant at a larg...

I was nervous, my parents had walked down the aisle ahead of me, and I was waiting for my queue. I was supposed to be escorted, fluffed, primed and prepared by the staff at our venue, however, said staff was nowhere to be seen. It was just me. I was due to make my entrance via freight elevator, (the huge manually operated kind with the big metal doors and pulleys and stuff). So I had to wait. Still no...

First of all, I am so sorry that there were not any posts for you yesterday. I was actually in New York for the morning and ended up sitting in six and a half hours of traffic on our way back to Boston. So, I couldn't get anything up for you guys! Hopefully, the weekend posts will make up for it. You know, I very rarely talk about food on this blog. And to be honest, I don't know why. Aside from the fact that I am a huge foodie, I also really believe that good food and good drinks will elevate a nice party, to a truly memorable party. So, I thought I would take a couple of days to hig...
