Yesterday I was lucky enough to be featured in the local paper, within the business section. The Star rang me up to ask me if I would mind being interviewed about the royal wedding and how it has affected my business. The interview was a bit of an odd one, and I felt at the time that my words were going to get completely mixed up and misquoted but the result wasn’t to bad in the end (apart from the over exposed photo that make me look supper orange) The article talks about how the recession has hit the wedding industry and how couples now seem to be going for smaller more intimate options, ...

  • While I’ll definitely be mentioning boho during Green Week (Curious? Come back in the following weeks!), I could NOT wait to share it with you. This FABULOUS new magazine is ALL about being green. And while it isn’t a wedding magazine (it’s good to mix it up now and then) there is a ton of delicious stuff that can definitely help you as you’re wedding planning and in the days after the wedding. I love how Gina La Morte, the editor in chief and publisher, describes why they chose the name “boho” for the magazine: A real boho (or bohemian) is all about freedom: the freedom to e...

I was approached by Jo Davison of the Sheffield Star a few weeks ago about my wedding planning business, as she was writing a piece about alternative weddings. I was more than happy to go and meet with her to discuss the sort of thing I do. Jo was lovely and we talked about all sorts……she seemed particularly interested in the gay wedding I planed at Sheffield pride back in June, for Bella and Lorna, so after tacking some more details about my background and my business I set up an interview with Jo, Bella and Lorna to get their take on the whole day. Below is the artica...

  • 2009-02-04T00:00:00Z Bride Chic

SOURCEDefined, Boho is a fashion look borrowing from the peasant, early bohemian and hippie looks of the sixties. Boho can be earthy and ethereal all at once, with gowns sporting diaphanous fabrics topped off with head wreaths made out of fresh florals and greenery like ivy. Hitting its zenith in 2004-5, The Knot was categorizing Boho as a bridal style as early as 2000. Later actress Sienna Miller and Kate Moss brought the trend to the forefront. For me actresses like Carol Kane and Julie Delpy are naturals for this look too. By the spring of 2005 Boho was all over New York and London. Preval...
