We were blessed with a few gorgeous spring-like days, and now it's back to being cold and dreary outside. I thought I'd help brighten your day by sharing this dreamy color palette of muted blue, green, yellow and a hint of coral and pink.... |
Before I made the leap to black and white, this was one of my first thoughts for a color palette. You should really go check out the entire wedding on Grey Likes Weddings - its adorable! {Photo by Kristin Spencer}... |
{Blue, Apple Green & Yellow}Bride-to-be, Sarah, wrote to me recently and told me all about the wedding she was planning for this August. She said she was simply in need of some direction. Sarah went into detail about the mood she was trying to create for her special day. She said she wanted to create a wedding that was a very casual & intimate gathering. The ceremony, she told me, would be outside by the lake at her grandparent's cabin and that the reception would be held at a supper club in northern Wisconsin. The palette she was considering was bright blue & green. Sarah also s... |
I can't possibly be the only one who thinks this bright orange color is completely FABULOUS? I mean, it's just so vibrant and eye catching and completely perfect for a late Summer or Fall wedding. This palette would be especially perfect for a Fall bride who loves orange, but is wanting to go for a palette that is a little more unique and unexpected than your typical Fall palette. See the little touch of blue on the china and on the drink label? That is what sets this palette apart and makes it a tad different. {continued...}{photo credit}The key to using blue in this palette is to do it subtl... |

Blue and white with pops of yellow.... |
Yellow roses and yellow shoes add just the right amount of pop and color--especially against a blue sky.... |
Ok, for all of you summer brides and grooms, this wedding is for you. With the bright and punchy teal, green and yellow tropical color palette and a large decanter of what appears to limeade, this wedding is full of simple, inspiring details. You don’t need a Trump-sized budget to create a personal and memorable event. A few great colors, a flower girl wearing an adorable floral wreath, and a big dash of love do the trick nicely. {Photos by Anne Ruthmann.} Related posts:Green and Brown Wedding InspirationFall Wedding Inspiration from Anne RuthmannPurple and Blue Wedding Inspiration... |
I love when I find a cake that is like nothing else I’ve never seen before. After awhile all cakes start to resemble one another and I like to throw in an eclectic cake just to keep it interesting. The originality in this cake comes with the coloring. I cannot remember posting a green and yellow cake on AWCB before…until now. The design is sweet and simple. A classic three-tiered round cake covered with yellow green grellow fondant. (It’s so greenish yellow that I am going to just combine them to make life easier.) Then the cake is decorated with strips of pale green fondant... |
I have a new DIY article up at Project Wedding. For a simple and fresh tablescape, you can't go wrong with green and yellow paired with a flooding of white (and sunshine!).Plus, I love the idea of renting the little white pitchers. At $1-2 a piece, they are a bargain centerpiece! Just add a bunch of flowers from the farmer's market.Rentals from West Coast Event Productions.
