A little while ago (October to be precise,) I was super lucky and jetted off to the Big Apple with my Best Friend Jess, (one of my Bridesmaids too!) It’s a bit of a long story but Jess and I met at Uni on the very first day and have been together through thick and thin since. Between me and the blog, and her and her post graduate exams, we hardly get to see each other these days and we have long said when we had been friends for ten years we would go away for the weekend somewhere, to re-live the summers spent in Italy in our student days travelling. The time came for us to book and we ran t... |
B. and I are off to the-city-that-never-sleeps for a week of eating & drinking Manhattan's best, viewing the famous sites, taking in Broadway and baseball, and - yes - probably some shopping. I am oh-so-excited to visit the city I've dreamed of visiting for so many years and to spend some quality time with my man. . . .In honour of our trip, I thought I'd post some photos from one of my favorite New York Weddings: Martha's Breakfast at Tiffany's creation which was featured on the "Today" Show.I love the classic style of this wedding, modelled after one of my favorite films, (and I plan on spen... |
When we were in New York in January we attended Bridal Bootcamp from the Wedding Salon and met Christian from Ariston Flowers, a floral studio providing gorgeous creations for over 30 years. We asked her to provide us with a spring floral forecast and love her predictions!"I have to admit that I think the times of modern sleek design are waning as the demand for more garden styles are increasing, that is still within good design. Pave, or low and compact will always be in demand because of it's classy and elegant form. It's simple and best kept that way, with just a few elements to let the flo... |
Every time I hit The City, goosebumps become me. I get excited. Possibilities are endless. The spirit of that town is infectious. It's true that I was at a medical conference from 8 to 5 every day...but every evening we adventured. Saw Jersey Boys...fell in love with those fellas. Ate Greek food, Thai food and Italian food, and street vender food (not all at one time)....all so delish I couldn't pick a fave. Stayed in Times Square (again)....was captivated by the vibrance of it all. Yet, I am almost embarrassed to admit..I missed my husband and m... |
We got these fun photos from our New York City partner, LMD (Lewis Miller Design). Even though it was for a birthday party, we think it’s a bright and clever idea for a bridal shower or couples party. Red is not just the color of love – it just “pops.” Made us smile and who couldn’t use a smile on a Monday! LMD used hundreds of yards of wide paper ribbons, ruby crystal rental chandelieres, oversized red helium balloons, cotton rental linens with crisp white linen runners edged in cerise grosgrain, silk butterflies, votives wrapped in cheerful Italian printed paper and tied with c... |

Inspired by retro chic, British designer Suzannah has fused Parisian style with a twist of NYC thrown into the mix. All these pieces incorporate exquisite tailoring in top drawer fabrics. The great thing about this line is Suzannah is open to customizing dresses to fit as well as making changes to the original design (that is if you are in the UK). My eye was originally drawn to her line because of her expertly done applications on fabric as well as the imagination she has for drawing the best out of the past. For evoking a real vi... |
