Yey for non-wedding wedding inspiration…sometimes it’s the best kind. You can take a few ideas, make them your own - or just enjoy looking at the gorgeousness! Now I’m sorry, but have you ever seen anything as adorable as these? The dress, the gloves, the mirror, the gorgeous girl, the cute teeny tiny tea cup! They are to die for! A huge thank you to Vania & Christine for the share! Credit: SimplyBloom Photography... |
We admit it: here at The Bridal Bar we were just as excited as everyone else for the release of Alice in Wonderland. And brides, from the looks of the tea party shower trends and blended event décor, so are you! The story itself is a classic, with plenty of iconic figures to plan a theme around: teacups, zany characters, bright and fresh pastel colors, and maybe even a pocket-watch or two. Spring bulbs like the iris and crocus are delicate and light, and when placed in a vintage teapot will add an elegant touch. This story is all about contrasts, so don’t be afraid to mix and match... |
Alice in Wonderland does not have to be a childish theme for a wedding. You can make it unique and elegant by designing your wedding around the color white. Here's how:Request that guests wear white... however, this does not apply to accessories like bows, socks and shoes (like the green shoes posted over on With this Ring and the socks from Martha Stewart). What you will end up with is a wedding that looks infused with white from a distance but full of glorious colors in the details!Have your groom and groomsmen wear white with white top hats, a la a classy Mad Hatter.Wear a tea-length gown, ... |

Weddings often take inspiration from works of art, films, etc – and with Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland hitting theatres, what could be better inspiration for an event than a fun tea party Mad Hatter theme? Latrice Cushenberry of Opulent Couturier, a fabulous lady and talented event stylist and planner in Nashville, styled this adorable photo shoot based on the movie, which is full of details and bold colors! She kept the elements of the shoot simple but vibrant – unique styling, Mad Hatter-inspired makeup (Latrice fell in love with the Alice in Wonderland eye shadow color palett... |
I absolutely love it when Australian wedding vendors get together and produce something completely amazing and I had to share this beautiful treat with you as soon as I could! A few weeks ago, a few Gold Coast wedding vendors got together and got creative with an “Alice In Wonderland” inspired shoot. I was glued to the screen as I scrolled through these images, there is so much enchantment in each one, so much crazy Alice wonder! The group did three scenes together- all white, red, black & white and my favourite- crazy coloured Alice style! Photography by Ngg Studios, Venue: Coolibah ... |
This modern & whimsical Alice in Wonderland Inspired Wedding theme by the super-sweet Rebecca of A Blissful Nest will instantly transport you to fairytale-land! Between the vibrant colors, perfectly eclectic place settings, larger-than-real-life bridal bow, and movie-inspired paper details, Rebecca definitely brought the magic of Wonderland to life!I’m especially loving the colorful tissue pom “chandelier” (such a great DIY element!) and special attention to sparkly details – like rock candy stir sticks and rhinestone-bedecked bridal bouquet and ribbon buckles. We have been dying to show you these photos since we handed the flowers off to Nicole! Nicole from Sota Dzine asked me to create some fun and interesting floral designs for her after-the-wedding photo shoot for some amazing clients of hers! Above and below are just some of the amazing images that came forth from the shoot – we just simply provided the flowers! Bravo Nicole + team! ... |
Photos: Lauren Brimhall The only thing missing from this Alice in Wonderland-themed wedding is Tim Burton. Newlyweds Erin and Matt drew heavily from Burton's film version of the classic tale for their fanciful celebration, right down to Matt's feathery orange eyebrows à la Johnny Depp. The elaborate costumes and whimsical décor may look more like a stylized engagement shoot than a wedding album, but Denver-based photographer Lauren Brimhall shot these images on Erin and Matt's actual wedding day—which only makes us wonder which of the MOBs was forced... |
Our friends Sara and Angelica planned a really adorable Alice in Wonderland inspired co-ed baby shower for us back in March! I just love all the bright colors! Our yummy food (excluding desserts) was catered by Renaissance Catering and our friends over at Enchanted Florist provided all the beautiful flowers. A HUGE thanks to The Pottery Shop for letting us invade their shop and for setting up some of the pretty decor. We had so much fun!! Our friend Chelsea Nicole captured some cool images.
