Jake and I spent our Honeymoon almost 1 year ago at Disney World. We want to go back... the pictures that we took will have to do for now. We don't want to even go to Disney Land because we know it just won't be the same. It was just all too perfect I guess. :)... |
In spirit of the fact that I am leaving tomorrow for a 4-day trip to Disneyland with my family, I thought I would write today about Disney weddings. While I doubt I will have my wedding at a Disney location, I was truly the Disney princess child. I think I could sing every song in Cinderella or repeat all of the lines in The Little Mermaid by age 3. I blame my disillusion of "marrying a prince" on this fact, but nevertheless I did always grow up with a princess complex (I'm sure a few of you can relate) and so might understand why a bride might love a Disney wedding. I am not actually super fa... |
This post is for my good friend Amy. 1. Because she loves Disney and 2. She just started her last year in law school, I wanted to give her a cheery break from the law). The girl loves Disney more than anyone I know and if she were planning a wedding (or, better yet, if I was helping her plan), these would (and should) be involved. Tinywater Photography I love the idea of a bride and groom incorporating one element into their photos that really characterizes something they have in common, or something they both share a love for. And, besides that, everyone has a special place for Minni... |
My husband proposed to me at the “happiest place on earth.” I am a big Disney fan so when he had the opportunity to ask me in Disney World, the smart guy he is, he took it. Atop Disney’s Contemporary Resort on the 15th floor, and at a popular restaurant called California Grill, he proposed. Although I admit I wasn’t surprised since we chose a ring, he knew how I felt about Disney and I saw the hostess’s shocked expression when she saw a card handed to her from the front desk which I imagined read something like, “he’s going to propose,” I was still surprised by the place and h... |

Disney’s Fairytale Weddings and Honeymoon’s Platinum Soiree This past weekend I was fortunate enough to attend Disney’s Fairytale Wedding and Honeymoons blogger event and from the moment we arrived, it was truly a fairytale! The event started off at the Disney Wedding Pavilion where we donned with adorable Minnie Mouse veils and invited to partake in a few treats from some absolutely charming and beautiful candy display tables- the bright colors and Florida sun made for a perfect combination! After our “snacks” we were invited into the wedding chapel, where we witnessed a former Di... |
We're closing out our series of Disney wedding inspiration with a honeymoon idea fit for Princess Ariel... and any couple who also enjoys both the land and the sea. The Disney Cruise Line is a fun alternative to your typical honeymoon experience, allowing you to enjoy the beaches by day and the many shows and activities on board by night. If you prefer to stay on this side of the Atlantic, you'll be able to explore Castaway Cay, Disney's private island paradise, while you also take in the vibrant culture of Key West, Florida or scuba dive in Nassau. Then hop back on the ship to re-live your c... |
If you’ve been following us over at Bridal Bar for a while now, then you’ll know I’m pretty much a total kid when it comes to anything Disney. Now I don’t wear princess purses to work mind you, but I (and the entire team over here) are die-hard Disney fans. So when we heard that Hawaii was going to be home to the latest and greatest Disney property, we had to investigate. The Aulani Resort, located on the big island, in a beautiful beach and marina community called Ko Olina, is a brand new (we’re talking opened weeks ago), sprawling property ideal for a destination wedding with... |
It’s no secret. I kind of live for Wedding Cake Wednesdays on Disney’s Ever After blog. Seriously, these cakes that the bakers at Disney come up with ALWAYS knock me on my…well…you know. This particular cake was featured a few weeks ago and I’ve been keeping the page saved on my computer for a special day. Lucky for you..today is that day! Check out the adorable bride and groom wedding ears on top of this pretty hunk of cake! Maybe this is a little more sentimental for me than others. The hubbs and I honeymooned (and got engaged) at Walt Disney World. While the honeymo... |
